Telesales / Production Control System
Our Telesales / Production Control System for Sales and Manufacturing / Distribution was developed in 2010/2011
Our Main Customer, a major Yorkshire Based distributor of Fine and Artisan Food Products with a turnover in excess of £1M, some 1000 + Products and more than 600 Customers, was embarking on a process of rapid business expansion
The requirement was to build a multi-user Telesales and Production Control System
The system had to allow a team of operators to take orders and automatically feed complex Order Data in a scheduled form to Production for Preparation (Cutting/Grating and Packing) and Order Picking. The Production Data would then be used to run Automated Batch Invoicing and Management Reporting
All of the requirements were successfully met. The system processes 100+ Sales Orders / Day and automates the companies Order Processing, Production, Order Picking, Delivery Scheduling, Invoicing and Management Reporting
Business Expansion plans are being successfully implemented without any increase in staffing levels, and sales have increased by 17% in real terms since the introduction of the system
The System was developed using a MySQL5 Relational Database, and coded in a mix of Object Pascal / C++ / PHP and JQuery. Currently 5 Telesales Clients supply real time Order Data to a PHP enabled Apache 2.2 HTTP Server supporting multiple Production Touch Screen Applications
The System can be readily and easily expanded by adding new Telesales Clients and / or Touch-Screens
The system is licensed under the The University of Illinois/NCSA Open Source License
